Dalai Lama visits Iowa this week

(KTTC-DT) -- The Dalai Lama is making his first visit to Iowa this week.

The exiled Tibetan Buddhist leader will stop at the University of Northern Iowa Tuesday to discuss education and nonviolence.

In 16 years, UNI has hosted about 30 Tibetan students, most of whom study education as part of a program involving about a dozen United States universities.
