Some key dates as Minnesota's 2010 campaign ramps up:
Feb. 1: Deadline for campaigns to file 2009 fundraising reports
Feb. 2: Precinct caucuses are held, featuring straw polls in governor's race
April 23: Opening day of Democratic Party's state convention in Duluth
April 29: Opening day of Republican Party's state convention in Minneapolis
May 18: Proposed start of 2-week candidate filing period (normally starts in July)
Aug. 10: Proposed primary election date
Nov. 2: General election
