Faribault man dies in snowmobile accident

FARIBAULT, Minn. (AP) -- A Faribault man has died in a snowmobile accident.

Faribault police say 48-year-old John O'Connor was driving on the Sakatah State Trail after 10 p.m. on Sunday night when his snowmobile left the trail, hit a tree and caught fire.

O'Connor was found next to his snowmobile, police say he was wearing a helmet. He died at the scene.
