FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (AP) - A western Minnesota man is accused of forcing a child to touch a hot stove a day before he was sentenced for hitting a child with a clothes hangar.

Twenty-9-year-old Adam Francis Doehring is facing an additional charge of malicious punishment of a child. Prosecutors say he threatened to spank the child if the child did not touch the hot stove. The youngster suffered burns on two fingers.

The Daily Journal of Fergus Falls reports Doehring was sentenced to 30 days in jail last month for hitting a child with a hangar in mid-April.

Court records show Doehring has previous domestic assault convictions from October 2008 and February 2004.
