ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The jury forewoman in the Tom Petters fraud trial says that company e-mail was the most convincing evidence of Petters' guilt.
Petters was found guilty of all 20 counts in a multi-billion-dollar Ponzi scheme. Jury forewoman Jolyne (joe-LYNN') Cross says e-mail between Petters and others was more important to the jury than secret recordings made by a whistleblower.
Cross says that's because the e-mail was sent before investigators got involved.
Cross says she doesn't think Petters started out intending to commit fraud. But she says "he still did it."
