Mason City man sentenced to 21 years in prison

MASON CITY, IA (KTTC-DT) -- A Mason City man is facing more than 20 years in prison for a conviction on federal drug charges.

David Bruce, 46, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison after pleading guilty in July to possessing meth with an intent to distribute.

Bruce was arrested after more than two ounces of crystal meth was found in his car.

He was sentenced Tuesday in Sioux City.

His 262-month sentence will be after a 15-year sentence for a sex assault in Black Hawk County.

There is no parole in the federal court system.
