MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Minnesota-Duluth's Travis Oleksuk scored with 12 seconds left in overtime Friday to give the Bulldogs a 4-3 win over Minnesota.
Oleksuk's second goal of the season came after the Gophers had killed off a power play to start the overtime.
Minnesota (4-6-1, 3-5-1 Western Collegiate Hockey Association) had tied the game on Nico Sacchetti's power-play goal at 17:41 of the third period. But a penalty with six seconds left carried into the extra period.
After successfully stopping the top power-play team in the nation, the Gophers failed to clear the puck from in front of Minnesota goalie Alex Kangas as time was running out. Oleksuk pulled it in for the game-winner.
Jack Connolly scored two goals, Cody Danberg had a goal and an assist and Rob Bordson had two assists for UMD (8-4-1, 5-3-1).
Jordan Schroeder and Jake Hansen gave the Gophers a 2-0 lead after a scoreless first period. But the Bulldogs netted the next three goals, including Connolly's ninth early in the third period.
