ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) -- Minnesota's charitable gambling industry is meeting in St. Cloud to share ideas and set legislative priorities.
Allied Charities of Minnesota sponsors the Lawful Gambling Convention and Expo.
The gathering runs Thursday through Saturday and includes training seminars, workshops and exhibits. More than 1,500 delegates are expected to attend.
They are expected to talk about changes they'd like to see in state laws, such as allowing electronic bingo and reducing taxes on charitable gambling. Pull tab sales have been falling in recent years.
The state Gambling Control Board will hold a regular monthly meeting in conjunction with the conference on Friday.
