
ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC-DT) -- More information is coming in from the Minnesota State Patrol about the school bus accident at Highway 63 and 75th Street Wednesday night.
Investigators say the bus was headed south on Highway 63, when a car in the right turn lane pulled back left into the southbound lane.
There were 26 people onboard, 22 of them were students from Wabasha Kellogg High School. Eight students were taken to Saint Marys Hospital for observation.
Two people in the car, Robert Temple, 75, of Wabasha and Leona Hentz, 77, of Hammond were also taken to Saint Marys Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
An ambulance heading to the scene of the bus crash was involved in a collision with two other cars at 2nd Street and 2nd Avenue Southwest.
Two people in the passenger cars had to be taken to Saint Marys Hospital and damage to both vehicles and the ambulance was described as severe by Captain MacMonegle of the fire department.
No one in the ambulance was hurt.
