BYRON, MN (KTTC DT) -- You may have seen this dog on the NewsCenter recently - he's a chocolate lab named Hershey.
He is a five month old puppy who was abandoned a little while back.
And while he has all kinds of energy, Hershey's two front legs are severely deformed making it difficult for him to walk.
Saturday at Leashes and Leads in Byron, employees were holding a fundraiser to help collect money to pay for his upcoming surgery.
If you'd like to help Hershey, stop in at Paws and Claws or Leashes and Leads.
We usually think about bringing cars to the wash, but in Kasson, there's now have a self-service dog washing machine.
The machine is called the K-9,000.
All you have to do is insert a few dollars, step your dog up onto the platform and wash away.
The wash includes shampoo, flea and tick rinse, even a blow dry at the end.
Saturday, though, all of the dog washing dollars went to help pay medical bills for 10-year-old Nathan Brawn from Kasson who is currently battling leukemia.
Darlyn Franco says, "We've all got kids and my heart just goes out to the family and to this young man who has to undergo so much. The medical bills, I've recently had cancer myself so I know how that is."
Franco also says that this is the only self-service dog washing machine in all of Minnesota.
