
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Nicole Powell had 27 points and set Sacramento's single-season scoring record as the Monarchs cruised to an 88-66 victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday night in the season finale for both teams.
Rebekkah Brunson had 16 points and 10 rebounds, Hamchetou Maiga-Ba scored 12 points and Ticha Penicheiro added 10 assists for the Monarchs (12-22).
Powell, who also had 12 rebounds, entered the game five points behind Yolanda Griffith's 1999 total of 545 points. Powell hit five 3-pointers and made 11 of 14 shots overall in scoring in double figures for the 29th time this season, setting another franchise record.
Charde Houston scored 18 points for the Lynx (14-20). Quanitra Hollingsworth scored nine points and had nine rebounds.
