MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will visit Minneapolis to check out a project that's receiving federal stimulus money.
The California Democrat will tour the American Indian Opportunities Industrialization Center on Sunday and plans to speak with students and employers that hire people trained at the center.
The center's summer and year-round youth employment program received $107,000 from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that Congress passed earlier this year to stimulate the economy.
Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak and Democratic U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison will join Pelosi on the tour.
The American Indian Opportunities Industrialization Center was created in 1979 to help American Indians pursue career opportunities.
