Widespread showers and storms will be possible for a good chunk of at least the first part of your Thursday. Some of these storms could bring some locally heavy rainfall. Things will dry out tonight and our winds will pick up as well, funneling in cooler, drier air. Winds will be gusty out of the northwest on Friday, and our highs won't budge out of the 60s. Look for some isolated showers Friday, too. The weekend looks to be seasonably cool, but dry. We warm up for Labor Day, with a slight chance for t-showers, as of right now.

I never had a run-in with a tornado as a child, but for some reason have always had a weird fascination with the weather. Growing up in Litchfield, Minnesota, just 7 miles from Darwin (home of the worlds largest ball of twine), gave me an opportunity to see all sorts of exciting weather...except tornadoes. More>>
Steph caught the weather bug from her dad when she was very young - as a Charter Captain on Lake Michigan. Her dad was always glued to what was going to be happening outside. Her parents enjoy sharing the story about Steph's early broadcasting career; whenever there was going to be a severe thunderstorm or tornado watch, Steph would write notes and stick them on her neighbors doors, telling them about it and what to do in case bad weather struck!
