The same storm system that brought us a little rain and drizzle on Thursday has moved way to the east, leaving behind some bright sunshine for our Friday afternoon. High temperatures will be in the lower 50s today with just a gentle southwesterly breeze. We'll enjoy another day in the sun tomorrow with highs in the lower 50s before clouds and rain return with the arrival of another storm system on Sunday. That system will keep us cloudy and damp for the first part of next week as some Monday rain may change to a mixture of rain and wet snow on Tuesday with snow showers possible Wednesday.

I never had a run-in with a tornado as a child, but for some reason have always had a weird fascination with the weather. Growing up in Litchfield, Minnesota, just 7 miles from Darwin (home of the worlds largest ball of twine), gave me an opportunity to see all sorts of exciting weather...except tornadoes. More>>
Steph caught the weather bug from her dad when she was very young - as a Charter Captain on Lake Michigan. Her dad was always glued to what was going to be happening outside. Her parents enjoy sharing the story about Steph's early broadcasting career; whenever there was going to be a severe thunderstorm or tornado watch, Steph would write notes and stick them on her neighbors doors, telling them about it and what to do in case bad weather struck!
